The Irishman, Stavanger

The Irishman is the only Irish Pub in town. On any night you'll find a great mix of nationalities enjoying a pint of Guiness or Kilkenny served perfectly with a shamrock logo on the head. This is no "plastic" Irish Pub with inflatable shamrocks and electric shileleighs - the truth is it's more like a community. That's why travellers the world over always head straight back here whenever they can. New visitors are always made welcome at The Irishman and there's always someone around to have the criac with. In addition the pub has regular live traditional folk music which draws in
a regular following every week. If you live in or around Stavanger or are travelling past from near or far, stop by and see for yourself.

The pub has been open since 1991
and the owner Don Lyne from County Kerry, Ireland has maintained a strong position in keeping the pub as traditional as is possible outside Ireland. This coupled with the cosy atmosphere adds to the continuing success of the pub.
